Impossible to create an account using an Android phone. The keyboard blocks the create and confirm password fields, and the confirm password field doesn’t work at all. Despite entering the same number of characters in that field, fewer than entered would populate every time. Multiple refreshes and phone restarts did nothing to rectify the issue. Customer service tried their best to help, and their response time was commendable, but there was no way to make this work.
Same problem with creating a profile that everyone else is having. As an android user, I’m not able to give your company any money because of a simple problem with the format. It is not possible to create a profile on my android device, due to the silly, basic issue of not being able to enter a password. I am willing to bet that this could be an easy fix, yet nothing has happened. Good job on being another poorly managed rip-off of a scooter app.
Worst ride app ever. They require you to load you wallet first to ride, and they DEFAULT you to auto refill, if you fall under $5 in ride money in your wallet. Absolutely terrible customer service, as they don’t want to even refund you. Yeah. I was trying out your product on vacation. Can’t wait to never use your remaining credit back at home!
I’m trying to ride in Miami and I’m on vacation from CT and it kept giving me error messages trying to create a profile. The customer service wasn’t helpful asking me for screenshots but when I exit the chat to get that, the whole conversation is started over. I gave up and I’m uninstalling. This was a waste of an hour.
They looked like some good, fast scooters, but I couldn’t even ride because it was stuck on age verification- I’m 42yrs, you happy? Trying to scan something outdoors on a digital screen is also a poor idea. I wasted my phone space and 10 minutes in the hot sun trying to get this app to work, to no avail.
Scooters are decent, other brands offer a better ride. But the real kicker with bolt is that they will automatically charged your card at random to add a balance onto their app that can not be refunded. So they just took 20 dollars from me without any notice or explanation and then refuse to refund it. Save your money and peace of mind and look elsewhere. Bird has a very good app and scooters. **Update** no 1 has replied to my initial request form for help nor the email that the reply gave me.
Software is buggy and ux design is terrible. I couldn’t end my session and the timer for the session will not stop even after I contacted support to end my session. My balance from the session I couldn’t cancel still appeared under the payment tab and I ended up paying another $20 which is not refundable. 👎
Not a fan of requiring a minimum balance of $10 in order to ride the scooters. It doesn’t even say anywhere in the app that you need this minimum balance. And unless you end up using a ride that costs $10 or more, that means they will always have at least some of your unspent money in their pockets which is akin to theft in my eyes. Remove this feature and allow the exact amount of the ride to be charged to your card, or at least lower the minimum balance amount to something lower like $5
The scooter itself is terrible in design. I felt unsteady and off balance the whole time, and I’ve ridden my share of scooters. Already, I decided I’d never use this scooter again. I was forced to preload funds onto the account to ride, and when I was unhappy with my very first ride and asked for a refund, they flat out refused to issue it to me. So I now have sunk money into an app that I will never ever ever use again.
This is a scam, they charged me $8 for simply downloading the app (thankfully I wasn’t able to get the app to work and uninstalled it). Then, after I disputed the transaction with my bank and blocked my card, they attempted to charge my card 3 times.
