First, this app is an “editor” not a “compiler”, so if you’re looking for a compiler just search in appstore. This app is fast and has no ads. But the problem is, you can’t make a new file (“can’t create the file”), saving a file gives an error (“file not writable”), and while it can access files in Sdcard, it can’t read anything in internal storage (“not readable”). There are better apps in appstore, I wrote this because I want the devs to know this app have problems with some user.
This is a basic code editor for C/C++, and it does a good job at being what it is. I chose this app specifically over others because: 1) I wanted a simple editor that would understand C and highlight syntax accordingly, so that I could review code on my phone when away from my workstation. 2) I did NOT want a compiler or full-functuon IDE. I do those functions on my full workstation. 3) I wanted an app without ads cluttering the functionality. This app meets those expectations well.
It would be perfect if not for stubborn scrolling (It sometimes returns you to the position of cursor which makes scrolling annoying) and the fact that you can’t zoom in/out by pinch gestures (you can change font size in the settings tho)
Very dumb UI bindings. Back button always means quit. Large portions of screen taken up by UI elements. Landscape orientation completely braindead with less then half the screen actually showing the code. Points for effort, but that’s it.
This text editor is pretty pimp-O-matic if you ask me, I gave it 5 stars simply because of all the text editors I had tried out, after checking out this one I havent had any need for another since. If that doesn’t deserve a 5-star rating from me, I dont know what does!!!
Great app. A slide between the two multitasking windows would be awesome.
I seriously don’t know what the developers were thinking. Did they expect to make the worst app ever and never keep up with it or update it and expect it to gain popularity and money? I do NOT RECOMMEND its a waste of time.
